mission of the
Center for Public
Policy & Administration
is
to provide research, education, and services
to public and nonprofit organizations that will strengthen
administration, leadership and public policy making.
Organizational Setting
The Center for Public Policy & Administration (CPPA) is a component of the University of Utah within the College of Social and Behavioral Science. CPPA is also a member of the Institute for Public and International Affairs.

Services Statements
The success of CPPA in realizing its mission derives from our ability to:
- evaluate existing policies and conduct research that is useful to public policymakers, administrators, and interested citizens;
- convene symposia and workshops that help define the nature of public problems, and identify and evaluate alternative solutions;
- provide training and development programs that are tailored to meet specific academic, organizational, and leadership development needs;
- administer education programs in public policy and administration; and
- facilitate and coordinate
interdepartmental and interdisciplinary activities with faculty and
students.
