CPPA has created this privacy policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy and the protection of your information.

Use of Email
If you received a mailing from us, (a) your email address is either listed with us as someone who has expressly shared this address for the purpose of receiving information in the future ("opt-in"), or (b) you have registered on our website or otherwise have an existing relationship with us. CPPA does not share email addresses with any third parties without the prior and explicit consent of the email address owner. We respect your time and attention by controlling the frequency of our mailings.

Use of Cookies
Cookies are used in our electronic periodical, Policy Perspectives, to allow us to track readership and content use. We only track via individual email addresses and have no other information about individuals. We also use cookies to govern over survey voting. All cookies, except those used for survey validation, expire within several hours after a period of idle use.

Use of Web Beacons
Web beacons are used in combination with cookies. A web beacon is an often-transparent graphic image, which is placed in an email or on a website. CPPA uses web beacons to aggregate data that is used to analyze the performance of a Policy Perspectives email and related micro sites. The information collected can be correlated to individual subscribers. This data is used for internal CPPA marketing purposes only. Open rates and click through rates for email content are examples of the metrics that are calculated using web beacons.
