Housing
for All"

Housing is
a basic need. Many
members of
our communities
experience
difficulties
in obtaining
housing due
to inflation
in the housing
market as
well as increases
in construction
and land costs.
These increased
costs are
compounded
by the dilemmas
that developers
and city officials
face in developing
projects that
meet the needs
of the entire
community. Complex
issues, such
as exclusionary
zoning ordinances,
negative perceptions
of density,
decreasing
subsidies,
and financing,
complicate
the basic
challenges
of construction.
On Thursday,
October 18th,
2007, the
Utah Intergovernmental
Roundtable
held our
annual summit
to discuss
the critical
issues as
well as creative
solutions.
