National Experts . . .

  • Edmund F. Haislmaier, an expert in health care policy and markets at The Heritage Foundation who frequently assists federal and state lawmakers in designing health reform proposals and legislation.
  • Dr. Len Nichols, a healthcare economist and Director of the Health Policy Program at the New America Foundation. His background in health system reform is extensive, and his research primarily focuses on expanding health insurance coverage, reining in costs, and improving the overall efficiency of the health care system.
  • Dennis G. Smith, the former director of the federal Center for Medicaid and State Operations including the State Children's Health Insurance Program (S-CHIP).
  • Michael Tanner, a Senior Fellow with Cato Institute. His research covers a variety of domestic issues, with particular emphasis on health policy. Prior to joining Cato, he served as director of research of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation and as legislative director for the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).
